Surfside Suds is a family owned and operated small business out of Gulf Shores Alabama.

It all started 10 years ago when my oldest son was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism. In my research on HFA I found that limiting processed foods, gluten, and sugars could help reduce some of the comorbid symptoms, such as social anxiety and explosive behaviors. I am not a doctor, and I don't pretend to be, but making these small changes did seem to help my little man cope.

I began to cook everything from scratch to control the ingredients and maintain a "clean" diet. I started to look at other every day items that we use like lotions and soap and wonder what was in those items? Are they healthy? Skin is the largest organ of the human body, what we put on it is just as important as what we put in it.

I started making my own lotions in attempt to control the ingredients, making sure to use organic and sustainable raw materials.

Today it is still about making sure that the products my family uses are not only good for our skin, but good for the environment. I strive to avoid waste and use sustainable packaging that can be recycled or reused.
